Leather Bucket Bag

Leather Bucket Bag / Black Cut Off Shorts / White with Pink Stripe Vest

I recently came across this item that I heavily debated keeping. Unfortunately, my annoying left brain kept nagging me to list it... so here we are... stupid left brain.  Great leather bags are hard to come by, especially one in such great condition and especially when it's in bucket form. Don't know what a bucket bag is? It's basically a bag in bucket form (open top) but closes with a drawstring. What's more handy than a drawstring? A handle. ...this baby has got both.

Leather Bucket Bag
(this item has recently sold! - More leather bags to come, I promise.)

Check out this item and more at Barnaby Jack . Lots new items coming soon!

S T R E E T S M A R T : Girly Grunge

There are some looks I come across that I can't get out of my mind, no matter what's in trend or how many years have passed. One such look is of Jessica Hart a few years back when she wore a floral grunge-y dress with studded converse. It looked like such a cute and comfortable look, and fun to replicate but easy to still make your own.

The most important part is to find the right floral maxi dress. I have found that the early 90s produced a ton of these dresses, and I often come across them for the shop. The latest dress I have found is the one below. The rest is easy: old converse, glasses if you where them, and a great leather backpack (vintage or new).

Glasses - Madewell

Vintage Shopping Tips from Refinery 29

Obviously, I love vintage shopping. For one reason, it's usually cheaper than department or boutique store clothing. Two, it's all one-of-a-kind (no need to worry about showing up wearing the same thing as someone else). Three, it helps you get creative to make your own personal style. Four, what better way to be green than recycling old/used stuff! Five, every piece has a story behind it, and even if you don't know the exact history of the item, it's still cool knowing that you are part of it. And six, the feeling you get when you find that one perfect item is priceless.

There are lots of tips to shopping vintage, but Erin Hagstrom from Refinery 29 made a short and sweet list of tips on their website. Check it out here.
